1. Minutes

2. Roger Long, CPA, will present the audit report for the Town's FY 06/07 financial statements

3. FEMA variance hearing: The Old Bethel Neighborhood Assoc. has applied for a historic variance from the requirements of the McClellanville Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance to allow further restoration work on Old Bethel Church.

4. Fire Chief Mike Rakoske would like to address Council on fire safety concerns.

5. Public Hearing, consideration of second and third readings on the following proposed ordinance: "An Ordinance to Amend Section 4.201 of the Code of the Town of McClellanville So As To Provide for the Adoption of the 2005 National Electric Code."

6. Building Official Paul Fields would like to present information on a possible drainage improvement project. (Please see his memo, enclosed).

7. Consideration of estimates presented by three local contractors for the carpentry work needed for installation of the new elevator. (Please see copies, enclosed.)

8. Resolution to document Town Hall as the official polling place for Town elections

9. Consideration of reappointment of Tommy Duke, Pat Gross, and Billy Baldwin as the Town's Municipal Election Commission. Our Election Commission would still hear any challenges to the Municipal Election.

10. Appointment of a new member to fill the current vacancy on the Architectural Review Board. (Please see the letters from applicants included in your packets.)

11. Personnel Policy: Consideration of proposed new policy

12. Town Administration is considering participating in the 2010 census at the "Option 1" level (please see information, enclosed). This would allow us the most input on the town's census count. Much of the work would fall to Gary Bronson. Does Council approve paying Gary to work some extra hours, if necessary? (He currently works 20 hours per week.)

13. Proposed sewer system for the area from Awendaw to the Santee River (please see copies of articles from the Post and Courier, enclosed): Does Council wish to offer an opinion on this proposal to bring sewer service to the area?

14 Please see the letter from the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Does Council wish to purchase a commemorative wreath or participate in the ceremony at the Yorktown on Dec. 7?

FYI: Town Marshal Daniel Bates has given his notice that he must give up his job as deputy marshal as of the end of this year. Does Council feel that we should seek a replacement for Daniel?

Please see the enclosed copy of a letter of congratulations from Gov. Sanford on the Town's (especially the Tree Committee) accomplishment of being named a Tree City USA for the last six consecutive years.

The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, Nov. 26 on recommendation for zoning of the property owned by George Marlowe on Hwy. 17, TMS 744-00-00-007, which has been proposed for annexation. A community meeting on the PD proposed for a combination of this property with an adjacent property is tentatively scheduled for the same date.

The Planning Commission will also consider on the 26th a proposal for an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance to change the name of the Commercial Light Industrial District to the Marine Commercial District. Council will likely see draft ordinances for proposed first reading on both of the above at the December meeting.
