AGENDA McClellanville Town Council January 7, 2008 - 7:00 PM 1. Municipal Judge Gail Guzzo will swear in the Mayor and Council for the new term of office. 2. Election of Council Committees: Public Works Committee (includes streets and roads and buildings and grounds) Personnel Committee Finance Committee (made up of all of Council) Appointment of Mayor Pro Tempore Election by Council of Clerk/Treasurer, Municipal Judge, Town Attorney, and Town Marshals for the new term 3. Consideration of minutes from the December 3rd meeting 4. Public Hearing, consideration of second and third readings on the following proposed ordinance: "An Ordinance to Amend the McClellanville Zoning and Land Development Ordinance So As To Change the Name of the Commercial Light Industrial District (CLI) to the Marine Commercial District (MC). 5. Consideration of a request from the McClellanville Arts Council for a new heating and air system for the old firehouse building: Please see the copy of their letter, enclosed. 6. Consideration of re-appointment of Nic Church for a new term as a member of the McClellanville Board of Zoning Appeals. Mr. Church has agreed to serve another term, if appointed. 7. Nomination of a McClellanville/Awendaw representative for the BCD Council of Governments Full Membership Board: Please see the letter from the COG Director, enclosed. 8. Question regarding the recently adopted Town Personnel Policy: Page 12 of the policy (see enclosed) addresses a term to be allowed for physical disability and/or personal leave. The length of an appropriate maximum term for this leave was never established. Does Council have suggestions for a maximum allowable disability or personal leave? After annual leave and sick leave days were exhausted, this would be unpaid leave. FYI: It is time to file the 2008 Statement of Economic Interests Form; deadline for filing is April 15.
