7. Consideration of first reading of the following two proposed ordinances:

A) An Ordinance to Amend Article V, Planned Developments, Section 5.6.3.2: The amendment would allow mixed use Planned Developments that are more commercial in nature along Highway 17.

B) An Ordinance to Amend the Town of McClellanville Zoning Map to rezone two parcels [TMS Nos. 744-00-00-005 and 007] from Residential to Planned Development District: This amendment would zone as Planned Development the recently annexed parcel, TMS #744-00-00-007 and the adjacent property, TMS #744-00-00-005.

8. County Councilman Dickie Schweers has invited Council to send two representatives to a wastewater focus group meeting that he is hosting at 3 PM on Feb. 6 along with Awendaw Mayor William Alston. Aaron has agreed to attend as one representative; who would Council like to send as the Town's second representative?

9. Building Official Paul Fields has asked whether Council will approve purchase of 2 - 3 loads of slag for the boat landing parking lot. He estimates that the cost should be less than $1000.

Paul has been working to improve the designated parking at the landing, and says that there is little slag in the parking spaces closest to the town office.

10. Invitation from the St. James Santee Family Health Center for a black-tie benefit dinner planned for Feb. 29 at the Red Bank Club at the Goose Creek Naval Weapons Station (please see letter, enclosed): We have missed the reply date (Jan. 28).Would Council like to send a donation?

11. Adjourn

FYI: We need to begin budget planning. I have enclosed a copy of a budget versus actual report for the current fiscal year to date, so that you can see where we are currently. If you have questions or proposals for next year's budget, this is the time to discuss them.

The County has advised us that they will be contacting owners of property along Pinckney St. (including North and South Pinckney) to inform them that, for their 911 addressing purposes, the northern fork of Pinckney St. will no longer be known as North Pinckney St., but simply Pinckney St. The southern fork of the road will retain the name of South Pinckney St. The main section of the road, beyond the fork, will still be called Pinckney Street. The County says that they hope to eliminate confusion for emergency response.

Remember to file your Statements of Economic Interest!
