Public Hearing for a proposed amendment to the McClellanville Zoning and Land Development Ordinance: "An Ordinance to Amend Article V and Article XII of the Zoning and Land Development Ordinance of the Town of McClellanville, South Carolina So As To Provide for an Administrative Review of Certain Work in the Historic (H) District and the Highway Commercial (HC) District." The ordinance would allow administrative review of certain applications for change to structures in the Historic District. Since the first reading in September, language has also been added to include administrative review for replacement of existing sign faces and proposed alterations to existing structures in the Highway Commercial District, when the alterations would not be visible from a street or public travelway. The Planning Commission held a public hearing on the proposed ordinance on October 27, 2008 (please see the copy of their minutes, enclosed). The Commission recommends that Council proceed with the public hearing tonight but defer a vote on the final reading until the January Council meeting. 4.
