AGENDA McClellanville Town Council September 14, 2009 - 7:00 PM 1. Minutes 2. Frances Waite from the SC Forestry Commission will present the "Tree City USA" award to the Town of McClellanville for the eighth consecutive year! Our Tree Committee has also received recognition as the winner of this year's Golden Acorn award, presented by the SC Urban and Community Forestry Council for Outstanding Community and Urban Forestry Program. Arbor Day Proclamation request 3. Harry Crissy will update Council on plans for our pilot project with the Clemson Institute for Economic and Community Development. 4. Consideration of final reading on the proposed "Ordinance to Zone Property Located at 1047 Pinckney Street, TMS No. 764-00-00-001, R, Residential and to Amend the Zoning Map of the Town of McClellanville to Designate as the Zoning for the Property Located at 1047 Pinckney Street, TMS No. 764-00-00-001, R, Residential." The Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend R, Residential zoning for this property at their August 28th meeting. 5. Revised Policy for Use of the Municipal Building and Grounds: Please see the draft documents from the Town Attorney, including a "Municipal Facility Use Agreement." 6. Archibald Rutledge Academy has again asked permission for use of the municipal grounds for their fishing tournament scheduled for October 10. Please see the copy of Dick Hunter's request to again use the landing for the Red October Fishing Tournament, scheduled for October 24, and to allow participants a one-day pass for use of the landing. 7. Consideration of the Municipal General Election planned for Nov. 3, 2009: Please see the copies of State Code Section 7-13-190(E) and the comments from Marilyn Bowers, Director of County Board of Elections and Voter Registration. The election may not be necessary, as all candidates are running unopposed. 8. Nuisance property complaint (please see photographs, enclosed) 9.
